It started with the basics—the roof over my head, my health and the health of my family, food on my table, clothes on my back, and, living in Florida, the simple blessing of a car with cold air conditioning.

As time went on, I realized that gratitude didn’t need to be tied to big things. I found myself grateful for the mere fact that my life exists. That simple yet profound realization became the foundation of my daily practice of gratitude.
