Trust, Surrender, Allow

These words have helped me overcome resistance, both in the ceremony space and in everyday life. They are a reminder to tell my inner child, "It's okay—what happened then is not what's happening now. Circumstances are different, and it’s safe to trust the process."

To trust is to have faith in the journey, to believe that things are unfolding as they should. It’s about letting go of the need to control every outcome and trusting that you are being guided in the right direction.

To surrender means to release the tight grip on the reins, to let go of the fear and anxiety that come with trying to control everything. It’s about giving yourself permission to experience life as it comes, without the need to force or manipulate the situation.

To allow is to let things happen without getting in your own way. It’s about opening yourself up to possibilities, accepting that things may not always go as planned, but knowing that this is part of the growth process. This mindset has been incredibly helpful in the ceremony space, where letting go of resistance allows the healing process to flow naturally. But it’s also something I strive to practice in every aspect of life.
