Asking for help

Asking for Help

One of the most challenging things people go through during ceremony is asking for help.

We are determined to do things on our own and some people have a hard time asking for help when they're stuck in their journeys.
They may feel uneasy because it requires surrendering control to someone or something else. We all have control issues. Some people show less, others more.
There are some people who really have a hard time with asking for help because nobody wants to think of them as needy or think they're bothering other people.
We make a lot of excuses for not calling out for help but the medicine has a way of making us humble. That feeling when you say "I can't handle this anymore, I need help".
That's the turning point in their journeys; acknowledging that they cannot navigate their journey with the mindset and resources they already know. They come to terms with the medicine and start to trust in the process.
It takes a lot for someone to raise their hand ( or their bucket) and ask for help. I know this because I've been there myself many times when I started. It's a humbling moment when you reach out and say "I need help". Rest assured that we will be there to say " no worries, I got you".

Aho!
