Everything Happens for a Reason

Everything happens for a reason.
It is one of the principles I've lived by and never questioned...or haven't I ?
When a series of life events come down barreling on you, it's hard to accept this notion especially when you're in the middle of it.
WHY?
Because we want to know the reason of why it happened and what we could've done to prevent it, make it better or let go of it.
Let's go deeper. I you had the opportunity with the foresight you now know, you could've prevented something bad from happening. However, you didn't at that time when you were in the middle of it, so there is nothing you can change about that. It's in the past. Getting stuck here is agonizing because nothing can be done other than learn from that experience and accept with a sigh that " everything happens for a reason" and learn to let go of it. Thats where the challenge is and thus the opportunity to grow.
In the event that you happen to be in the middle of it and have the opportunity to make it better and do so right there and then, well congratulations! You are wiser and better at seeing things before it happen and have the emotional intelligence to keep your shit together while making the right decisions and actions. You sit back , head held high thinking to yourself " everything happens for a reason, so better things can come our way" with a smile on your face. I am not in any way, dismissing or diminishing the possibility for this to happen as an impossible thing. It does happen as we continue to grow and learn how to manage our emotions. It is the goal to accepting things as they are, make the best out of it, knowing there is something better for us ahead.
Sometimes good things fall apart, so better things can come together.
For everything in life , there is a beginning and an end. Nothing is permanent. Even the good things come to an end and there is no bad weather that last forever. The storm will pass, the sun comes out and the waters start to recede. This is also hard to accept sometimes because of the memories, the feeling and emotions around that person , place , event or situation. If we think in terms of growing, acknowledging and accepting that person, place, event or situation as a learning and growing experience, we are more likely to rebound and move on in life to other experiences. If we find it difficult to move on, it's probably because there may be unfinished business, whether interpesonal, emotional or physical that is creating an attachment to that person, place, event or situation and doesn't want to let go.
Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes things fall apart so better things can come together.
These are terms to come to understand and accept one way or another, now or later. Ah shit, we may kick and scream like a kid in a tantrum , resisting to accept it, denying that is happening, trying to force a square peg into a round hole, making situations worse. Or, have the courage to accept it, and trust that the universe has something better coming for you. Emotional freedom is the reward ultimate reward.
